The West Quoddy Lighthouse, Maine

My fascination with Lighthouses began when I was reading Enid Blyton books.. this is one of my fave pictures and I hope you like it as much as I do. Here's a poem dedicated to it
The Light
The sea is calm today
Sea gulls carried by the warm salty air
Gather to exchange strange tales
Of distant lands where mermaids and their shiny baubles
Speak of great cities beneath the depths of the ocean.
The sea is calm tonight
The gentle pounding of waves on breakers in the distance
The moonlight wrapped by huddled clouds in the sky
Gives it's way, a solidarity, unwavering lighthouse beacon
Sweeping the darkness in search of the lost with it's faded yellow light
My soul seems calm tonight
Left only the gentle thoughts of days
On recent memories of ships far off shore,
They carry me, finding tales
Of an ocean at peace If not at rest.

The Beautiful Silence

This is a very special place where I delve into my random thoughts putting it into a mix mash collection and jumbled together while trying to give it surreal form. For those of you who some how stumbled onto this blog, I bid you ' Welcome' and I hope you like what I posted here.
